Off Balance: A Report About Out-of-Stock and Missing Sale Items at Walgreens
A new study has found that more than three-quarters of Walgreens stores in some of America’s largest cities are consistently having trouble simply keeping the shelves stocked, while more than 90 percent of surveyed stores had mislabeled sale inventory.
These problems hurt consumers. Outages cause shoppers to either spend more money, or more time, finding the items they need. Walgreen Co. has been affected as well, with non-prescription sales growth slumping for over a year.
